Master Morteza Neydavood (20 minutes)This
documentary film commemorates the life of the greatest Iranian Jewish classical musician of this century, "Morteza Khan", the master of tar. During his life, Morteza Khan collaborated with some of the most accomplished classical musicians of the 1900s, discovered two of the most famous classical singers of that era, Banan and Ghamar, and recorded the only complete canon of traditional Persian music ever.

Soleiman Haim (20 minutes)
A documentary film memorializing the life of Soleiman Haim, whose life's work was the compilation of a series of dictionaries translating Persian to English, French, Hebrew, and vise versa. Known as the "Walking Dictionary," Soleiman Haim also wrote the plays "Esther and Mordechai", "Ruth and Naomi" and "Youssef and Zoleikha".

Moshfegh Hamedani (20 minutes)
A documentary film about the life of Moshfegh Hamedani, author, translator, and journalist. Moshfegh Hamedani's career in journalism began at Iran, Mehr and Mehregan magazines, led to the co-founding and editor-in-chief position of Kayhan. and eventually to the publishing of Kavian. Due to his political stance, in 1953 he was banished from Iran and spent his years in exile, in Rome where he continued his brilliant work.

Youna Dardashti (30 minutes)
This documentary is on loan from the Israel Television and shows a number of different Judeo-Persian folk tales accompanied by Youna Dardashti's Iranian traditional songs. Dardashti was the most famous Jewish singer in Iran and the only one who had a regular musical show in Iranian Radio.

Hakham Yedidia Shofet (50 minutes)
A documentary made at Rabbi Yedidia Shofet's 90th birthday, in which he talks about his life's experience as the chief Rabbi of the Persian community. This documantary was made in collaboration with B’nai B’rith – Fred Matloob.

Esther's Children (50 minutes)
This documentary chronicles the history of Jews in Iran from the "Book of Esther" to 1996. The documentary covers video and image captions that describe the history of Iranian Jews under different dynasties. These segments are interspersed with commentary from some of the leading figures in Iranian Jewish studies. The last segment of the documentary concentrates on the contemporary state of Iranian Jews, both in Iran and in exile.

Anussim of Mashad (45 minute)
A documentary about how the migration of 40 Jewish families to Mashad at the behest of Nader Shah Afshar, led to the killing or forced conversion into Islam of a large Jewsh community a century later.

Haggadah Parsi (55 minutes)
This documentary covers the history of Jews and their migration to Israel. The film concentrates on two waves of this migration - the first, after the independence of the state of Israel, and the second, after the Islamic revolution.

Jewish Monuments in Iran (15 minutes)
A documentary film exploring most of the Jewish monuments and synagogues in Iran.

Saray-e Saalmandaan (15 minutes)
A documentary film about the Jewish Elderly Home of Anjoman-e Kalimiaan

A mother for Shamsi (26 minutes)
A documentary film made 40 years ago by the Joint Distribution committee about the miserable life of Iranian Jews in Mahalleh, the Jewish quarter.

The Making of a Man (26 Minutes)
A documentary film about ORT Jewish vocational center which shows how Iranian youth were in need of such institutions 40 years ago.

Najeeb (20 minutes)
Najeeb, a humorous narrative documentary, follows Tanaz Eshaghian, the twenty-five year old narrator, her parents, and her extended family, as they attempt to set her up on arranged dates with Iranian Jewish suitors, and lament her liberal American upbringing.

American High (30 minute)
Filmmaker and Academy Award nominee R.J. Cutler, has produced the critically acclaimed PBS series "American High." As the Associate Producer, for the 13 part series, Lena Afary taught the students film theory, history and techniques and monitored the production of the "video diaries."

Complaint (15 minutes)
This short film depicts the continuity of women's only gathering ritual (doreh) in which Jewish women talk to each other about their daily struggles, complaints and problems in exile.
